With Mercury and Pluto now direct, the Aries Full Moon on October 9, 2022 comes to burn away old cycles for a transformative eclipse season.
Though retrogrades can be a pain, remember that it’s a perfect universe: Retrogrades slow down the energies of the planets involved, helping us learn how to use them most effectively. Mercury’s latest retrograde, from Sept. 9-Oct. 2, slowed down communications to help us think, process, and communicate better, while Pluto’s retrograde, from April 29 to Oct. 8, made us more cognizant of our triggers and shadow side, i.e., how we may still be reacting to past traumas that are no longer relevant. Now, with Mercury and Pluto direct, we’re clearer communicators with a better handle on our obsessive, self-destructive tendencies.
This Aries Full Moon, known as the Hunter’s Moon, aligns with asteroid Chiron, known as “the wounded healer.” The Full Moon’s conjunction with Chiron may make us more aware of our deepest fears and insecurities, helping us release that which undermines our hopes, dreams, and ideals. Essentially, we can use this Aries Full Moon to release self-limiting beliefs. This will be particularly helpful in preparation for eclipse season — a game-changing time which starts in the sign of Scorpio on the October 25th New Moon.
