New Moon in Taurus — I Know I’ll Never Love This Way Again

Happy New Moon in Taurus! A new moon is like a promise; some people call it a “spell.” Really, a new moon is a blank slate on which we can create a new intention, back it up by a supporting belief, and move forward in faithful action. In Taurus, this New Moon is all about what the sign of the bull rules: Values.

As of late, due to the C-word, a lot of what we value has been taken away from us: our bars and concerts, our face-to-face interactions, our malls, restaurants, and sports; in some instances our income, classes and even our toilet paper. Throughout the last 30-something days, we’ve gotten more clear on what we value, perhaps because, as they say, “you don’t know what you got until it’s gone.”

But lest we forget, we can’t have order without chaos, good without evil, positive without negative; therefore — theoretically — just as much good can come out of the c-word as bad: The luxury of getting to stay home to nest and rest, the ability to spend more time with our families, the extremely clean air, the extra time to reflect, the ability to give ourselves a break, when perhaps otherwise we wouldn’t have gotten one. Few of us have ever experienced something like this before, so we’ve had to make do with what we have. We are stretched to take care of ourselves, others, and our priorities in new and different ways…
